Our Journey

 

Sweet Carocas began as a passion project led by our founder, pastry chef Carolyn Castillo. What started in 2016 as a personal exploration of family recipes quickly grew into a brand driven by care, creativity, and purpose. From the very beginning, the focus was on honoring tradition while refining technique and quality with every batch.

 

Origins

 

From her home kitchen, Carolyn began sharing desserts inspired by family traditions and refined through hands on practice. Each creation reflected a deep respect for flavor, detail, and presentation, shaped by direct connection with customers and constant improvement. These early experiences laid the foundation for Sweet Carocas, proving that thoughtful desserts, made with care and intention, have the power to create meaningful moments.

 
Growing Forward
In 2018, Carolyn moved to the United States, bringing her recipes and vision with her. By 2020, Dulces Carocas evolved into Sweet Carocas, marking a new chapter focused on growth, refinement, and broader reach.
In 2024, Carolyn married and partnered with J.J Molina, an experienced entrepreneur with more than 20 years in distribution, logistics, and operations. Together, they combined culinary craftsmanship with proven operational leadership, positioning Sweet Carocas to scale with structure, consistency, and long term vision. Today, the company is built to serve wholesale partners nationwide while staying true to the flavors and purpose that defined it from the start.
